13 Poor Health Indicators & 6 Things To Do About Them

Hackensack woman health indicators

Arghhh! Health indicators! The sickness barometers, better known as health indicators, announce that whole-life healing is needed in our lives.

You can calibrate your whole life and its inner workings by bringing your many aspects into harmony so you feel more balanced. When you do, you succeed in healing the physical burdens, and more, that are no longer needed.

Healing in this context means going through the process of recognition, understanding, rectification and release.

As it is often said, The most important relationship is the one with your self. It is important to be clear on the less than optimal ways you deal with your mind and emotions. This is especially true as you strive to regain balance, wholeness and healing.

But first, how can you best grasp the internal relationship; its inner workings and its settings? How can you tell if your aches, pains, illness, or dis-ease are connected to your relationship with your internal self?

13 Health Indicators

As above, so below. What is going on within gives you evidence without (externally). It tells you that something is not quite right with body-mind-spirit. You feel physically off-kilter or emotionally break down. Or both.

Below, we will look at the typical afflictions of Baby Boomers, urban dwellers  and less-moneyed folks (poor is not the correct word). World War II babies aging, high-density living, and low-money reservoirs are serious stressors that can lead to aches, pains, illness, and dis-ease.

But every aspect of your life is in divine order — you already know that.

And yet, certain words may now be in your vocabulary. They express how the body is functioning. “Poor health indicators” tell demographers, medical leaders and policy makers where clinical health centers should be established (or not). This is what statistics are for!

Here is the list:

  1. Arthritis
  2. Back pain
  3. Blood pressure (high)
  4. Cancer– fibroids, growths, tumors
  5. Cataracts
  6. Cholesterol High/Circulation Sluggish
  7. Diabetes
  8. Digestion Poor
  9. Energy low/Fatigue
  10. Fibromyalgia
  11. Hip (or knee) replacement
  12. Hormonal imbalance
  13. Irritable bowel syndrome

Many more than these 13 conditions exist — I stopped at the first nine letters of the alphabet. These indicators afflict women, people-of-color and low-savings communities much more than populations with wealth. (At the same time, Baby Boomers who have “made it” have not necessarily avoided any of these health indicators.)

Excess stress, inflammation and inattention to health are cited as common denominators of poor health. All are reversible.

Bad News

Have you recently visited a doctor or hospital to have yourself checked out, and gotten a diagnosis that blew your mind?  You are not alone.

The HealMobile emphasizes the holistic view of life. Any part is integral to the whole. Any condition says something about the whole you, and is a barometer or pointer towards who you are and your healing.

In other words, there’s opportunity in adversity. Let’s say you have just received a doctor’s diagnosis; your inner workings have been assaulted by “bad” news. Now you have to tell family, friends, coworkers and colleagues.

Hearing painful words cut deep and the pain does not magically go away. Emotions start swinging this way and that, and getting a grip seems almost impossible. Upset has a way of making you lose your balance.

But be not afraid. Holistic health practitioners like me are available to help you navigate the unfamiliar terrain of a new health reality.

Sometimes you just need someone to talk to. Other times you need help identifying just what it is you’re going through. To name the feelings and emotions that appear attached to what is going on is healing (makes you feel better) and critical. This provides a positive beginning.

6 Ways To Address Poor Health Indicators

Getting in touch with your natural resilience is necessary and possible. You can access the intellectual, emotional and spiritual harmony you seek to balance your compromised physical self.

If you’ve been assaulted by the doomsday diagnosis OR are already living with dis-ease, maybe you are ready to confront or listen your life differently. Here are six things you can do:

1. Amass your energy (rest up!)

2. Know “where your head is at”

3. Know “where your heart is at”

4. Identify the intellectual basis for your physical health

5. Identify the memories that perfectly match your physical condition

6. Release what you must to accelerate the return good health
